I get so excited when the seasons change - I don't have a favorite FOOD season, EVERY season has some of my favorite foods - we're moving out of my winter warming filling soups and sauces to all things light and vibrant and that excites me too! I love discovering new twists and turns on old favorites and presenting them to you. Frequently these new inventions are prompted by the tastes of an honoree at an event - like last weekend's Baby Shower where momma was craving waffles and berries. BOOM! Raspberry-White Chocolate Waffle Pudding was invented. It's a keeper!

We've also been participating in many "theme" parties this year, and had the chance to put together MUCH that I love into one Derby Party event - Kentucky and Southern staples with some creative flair. Our Kentucky Black Bourbon BBQ Sauce is becoming famous along with our house smoked meats, as is our "Better than Benedictine" Cucumber Sandwich! NOBODY can beat Lula's Shrimp 'n Grits, and we have MANY derivations, but the first, and classic, was served on Derby weekend - our Kentucky Grits 'n Shrimp. We absolutely LOVE themed parties - contact Lula to see how YOURS can be oh so special.
