Soups On! Order Now!

It’s still cold outside isn’t it, baby?!?  I’m still having fun with some of my favorite hearty tummy warming recipes, like this hearty Potato Leek Soup pictured here.  I’m showing you the VEGAN version, but you can order it vegetarian or full FAT with bacon to go in it.  I start by sauteeing my leeks in homemade chive oil for depth.  You just can’t beat this dish for warming you from the toes up.

Further down the page, take a sneak peak at what you MISSED if you didn’t order my Shrimp Scampi Primavera this week – a truly vibrant and healthful dish loaded with protein and flavor, this dish comes with regular penne pasta or, how it’s pictured with Red lentil noodles!    It’s gluten free and Keto Friendly! Meatball casserole sold out and I have more requests this week so you can have that AGAIN if you want!!  There are other delectables this week, like our 5-Spice Chicken Stir Fry or our Country Ham and Sugar Snap Pea Quiche, and you can find them all right here by clicking on this MENU.

Again, Happy New Year, and a wish for all that with the passage of each day, we feel safer and more love than ever before!

A Hearty Winter Menu For You!

Baby it’s cold outside, isn’t it?!?  With that in mind I’m having fun with some of my favorite hearty tummy warming recipes, like the Meatball Casserole pictured here.  It’s on the menu this week, along with Lula’s Hunter’s Chili with Venison and Beef, served up with our famous Moist Corny Corn Bread.

Further down the page, take a sneak peak at our Creamy Pear & Celeriac Soup – an accidental moment of brilliance on my part a few years ago when trying to figure out what to do with some softening pears.  I figured, apples go in soup all the time (have you had Lula’s ABC Soup?!?).  I was playing with Celery Root (Celeriac, which is different than the celery that went into this week’s LulaTuna Salad wink wink).  Some sage from the garden and voila, a masterpiece was born.  I’m bored with chicken so I’m offering an old family Pork Chop recipe this week – updated and refined by Lula of course!  Browned with oregano and garlic, then put in a slow oven with wild mushrooms, these bone in chops almost melt in your mouth, and you’ll want to drink the sauce!  These are served with Lula’s Herbed Smashed Potatoes – another stick to your ribs, winter defying satisfying option.  You can see ALL of this week’s options here.

Again, Happy New Year, and a wish for all that with the passage of each day, we feel safer and more love than ever before!

Hearty Winter Menu for Pickup or Delivery!

A Hearty Winter Menu For You!

Baby it’s cold outside, isn’t it?!?  With that in mind I’m having fun with some of my favorite hearty tummy warming recipes, like the Quail & Wild Mushroom Risotto pictured here.  It’s on the menu this week, and I have two derivations.  If you’re scared of Quail (think chicken thigh), then ask for Chicken!  And if you want  vegetarian we can omit the meat altogether – this risotto with wild mushrooms, currants, and power greens is certainly hearty enough on its own, but Lula does know best 🙂 , and trust me our Pan Roasted Herbed Quail Breast does this dish justice.

Further down the page, take a sneak peak at our Beef Stroganoff – so tender and creamy, served with our fantastic Buttered Parsley Noodles.  If you’re gluten free ask for our Smashed Potatoes instead, no worries!  Healthy Turkey Tarragon loaded with vegetables remains on the list, and because it’s “stick to your ribs” season I’m making our hearty Roasted Tomato Basil Bisque, creamy and chunky at the same time, with summer tomatoes put up when they were BURSTING with flavor!

No, we’re NOT missing fish this week; I’m in the mood for some LulaTuna Salad so you get some too – click here to see! Lula’s Tuna Salad resembles the flavors of a Nicoise Salad – very savory with olives and capers.  It’s fantastic served as open faced Tuna Melt with sharp cheddar cheese.  Again, Happy New Year, and a wish for all that with the passage of each day, we feel safer and more love than ever before!

Happy New Year! A New Menu For You!

Happy New Year!  I’m so happy to be back and in fine form with new inspiration and recipes.  You responded to salads at the end of the year so I’ve included not only my homemade Caesar Salad but a full protein salad as well – picture to your left.  Our Roasted Sweet Potato and Quinoa Salad with Homemade Tahini Dressing just HAPPENS to be Vegan and Gluten Free but you’d never think about that in a million years with all of the robust flavors, crunch, and vibrancy.  A great choice for any “resolutioners” that over did it over the holiday.  I’m happy to add Chicken to it, but it’s a complete protein salad without it!

Further down the page, let your eyes make your mouth water with our new Parsnip and Leek Soup with healthful and delicious Turmeric.  Healthy Turkey Tarragon loaded with vegetables remains on the list, and because it’s “stick to your ribs” season I’ve added a third selection this week – 2020’s highly successful newest addition to Lula’s Soulful Slurpy Soup Menu – our HANKY PANKY STEW!!

Of course there is risotto and pasta to choose from as well – click here to see! Again, Happy New Year, and a wish for all that with the passage of each day, we feel safer and more love than ever before!

Happy New Year! Eat some “Money Greens”!

Collard Greens, which are eaten year round down south but particularly on New Years Day, are eaten that day because they supposedly bring good financial health, as they resemble money when folded.  I want you to be “armed and ready” for the new year so you’re getting this offer in plenty of time!   Collards (as well as Tuscan Kale, Kale, and Mustard Greens) are absolutely LOADED with good for you vitamins A, C, K, and Calcium, as well as contain a good amount of antioxidants and protein (3 grams per 1/2 cup cooked), no fat, and are incredibly low in calories.  They are in the broccoli family.    Enjoy! – Lula
